Pub review: A traditional, oak beamed pub with wooden floors and open fires in winter. Many small rooms and areas. There is also a large orchard garden and patio area in summer. A comfortable interior, with fresh flowers and a choice of real ales served straight from the barrel. Families are well catered for. Charming, likeable and vaguely eccentric pub, situated in a beautiful medieval village, complete with 12th century castle.
